Job Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities include all aspects of business jet development and certification flight testing activities.  Specifics responsibilities include

  • Work with design engineers to prepare test plans for both development and certification tests. Plan shall address aircraft configuration, instrumentation requirements, test conditions, and safety review.
  • Design test procedures & acceptance criteria to specifically civil aviation authority requirements.
  • Coordinate with cognizant technical personnel to ensure individual test requirements are clearly defined, planned and executed appropriately.
  • Coordinate with mission planners to schedule and execute each test.
  • Present aircraft configuration and test-related technical and procedural details at pre- and post-flight crew briefings.
  • Participate as in testing through a ground-based control center, with a lead role in ensuring test conditions are conducted safely, completely and accurately.
  • Plan and track progress of test conditions to support frequent progress reporting based on technical requirements and program schedule details.
  • Collect and analyse post-flight data according to design engineer requirements.
  • Analyze real-time data for specific test conditions. Reduce and analyze engineering data after test missions and arrange data in an appropriate format for technical reporting.

Applicants should have skills with all areas in above described responsibilities and

  • Specific skills in one or more of the following specialty fields: avionics, Icing, RVSM, aircraft systems or subsystems, contaminated runway etc.
  • Good interpersonal skills are critical.
  • Good English language skills.
  • German language skills beneficial.

Education/Experience:

5 years in the specific technical discipline or 10 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors degree, or 3 years in the specific technical discipline with Masters degree Bachelors degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Start:

Starting date by agreement. Pefered May 2008 through December 2008 or longer.
