Initially Mattsies, Germany and greater Zurich Area, Switzerland

This position should attract an individual eager to take up a once in a lifetime challenge: help in the start-up and ramp-up of a new manufacturing entity for executive aircraft interiors

• Head the day-to-day production activities for the SPn business jet interior completion centre first in Germany, and then, in Switzerland
• Be responsible for the interior manufacturing and installation phases.
• Provide leadership, coaching and direct supervision to all production employees involved on the interior (woodshop and upholstery craftsmen, aircraft mechanics, avionic technicians, interior installers, groomers and painters)
• During the aircraft development phase in Germany, lead the set-up of the manufacturing and aircraft interior installation activities (hiring, tooling & processes)
• Perform the hiring, training and motivation of the production workforce force
• Set up an apprentice program to develop in-house talent to sustain the ramp-up in production
• Work to meet deadlines and budgets

• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational and problem solving skills
• Experience with Business Aircraft interiors is a plus
• Some experience in setting up new factories would be a further plus
• German and English spoken and written. French a plus
• Be comfortable in a start-up environment (i.e. flexible, creative,
  pro-active, responsive, patient/good sense of humor, comfortable with uncertainty/grey areas)
• Very strong customer focus, self confident, outspoken, excellent organization and presentation skills
• Good intercultural and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, be a good team player
• Process oriented, computer-literate and willing to learn new things
• Strong knowledge of Aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Can work in Germany and in Switzerlanda plus

• Successful candidate will have 5yrs or more experience in a manufacturing leadership role
• Relevant educational background with strong team building and management skills
• Experience with Business Aircraft interiors is a plus
• Some experience in setting up new factories would be a further plus
• German and English spoken and written. French a plus.
