G 520T

With the development of the G 520T dual seat high altitude aircraft our sole aim was to create an optimum aircraft for training pilots to fly the single seat Strato 1 aircraft. The requirements for this trainer were clear: There should be little difference in the performance and flight characteristics compared to the Strato 1. The complete cockpit layout was the same as that of the Strato 1.

To comply with these requirements, our engineers developed the G 520T from the Strato 1. A fuselage plug provided space for the rear cockpit. Apart from this, there were no other changes to the airframe.

The G 520T is fully capable of carrying out the same mission spectrum as the Strato 1, with the advantage that the mission workload can be shared by two pilots.
