Easy maintenance and low operating cost

Carbon Fiber

Leading-edge German engineering based on carbon fiber composites impressively combines all the prerequisites of a best-in-the-business solution, providing enhanced aerodynamics, superior design and engineering. Virtually ruling out fatigue, the structure of the airframes highly integrated, translating into easy access for maintenance. The result: lower maintenance costs and operating costs than any other business jet in this class.

Airframe minimum certified service life limit

28,000 flight hours

Design load factors

Major airframe parts are designed for a tolerance of minimum +3.1 g/-1.24 g with static tests yielding a resistance of at least 1.725 times maximum load, a level exceeding that of metal airframes.

Impact resistance on airframe, wing and empennage

Carbon fiber composite structures are highly resilient and stand up to harsh environments by providing exceptional durability, and thus requires low maintenance.

Superior structural strength

In addition to the carbon fiber structure, wing attachment points are made of titanium to achieve the lowest possible weight and greatest possible strength. Validation of airframe strength is confirmed by a more robust strength testing procedure than that normally used for metal airframes.

Enhanced aerodynamics

Composite structures are shaped without the production constraints of metal so ideal aerodynamic and rivetless shapes can be optimised from the outset of manufacturing.

Reduced maintenance

Compared to metal structures, composite structures retain better their strength over time. This reduces the airframe inspection, maintenance, and repair component of ongoing operating costs.

Easy damage repair

Minor damage to the airframe can be repaired on site without expensive tools or ground support equipment. The damaged area is simply cut away and the structure rebuilt.

Improved power-to-mass ratio

Composite airframes have a lower mass but are stronger than conventional airframes, resulting in improved operating efficiency and aircraft performance.
